Welcome to the online home of the Coos Bay – North Bend Rotary Club!
This year our theme is Rotary Opens Opportunities and, as 2021 moves into 2022, I fear there will certainly be plenty of opportunities for our club to work to open in our community and around the globe.
Rotarians are people of action, but that does not mean we are not still human. It can be tough to find our way through these difficult times. Times that have asked a lot of us and of our clubs. It is now that we must rely on each other to draw on for our strength and to keep going to find new ways (when necessary) to carry on our mission.
Though this time in our history may be difficult, I consider it an honor to be the Coos Bay – North Bend Club’s President! We have a strong and robust club that has already shown its ability to work hard through crisis to make a difference for our community (including a recent project to bring hand sanitizer to area front-line workers and first responders).
I also know that we will grow new members in this coming year, and that, as we make our way through this devastating pandemic, we will be able to bring other strong former Rotarians back to the fold just as soon as they are able to rejoin us.
Through our commitment to the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self,” we will continue to find ways to change lives for the better no matter what obstacles fall in our path.
