Wine Walk
The Downtown Coos Bay Wine Walk is a signature, community-based project of the Coos Bay- North Bend Rotary Club. This event, which takes place on the 1st Friday of each month, was launched in 2007 when a group of downtown business owners designed an evening of wine tasting, business promotion, and support for local non-profit organizations. In exchange for a $10 donation, participants received a wine glass and a map to participating businesses in the downtown area. It did not take long for this event to grow, and the event was turned over to Rotary for management and promotion.
Now, after a 22-month of Covid hiatus, Wine Walk has returned to the streets of Coos Bay and has expanded Northward to include several new stops in the Front Street district. It is common for wine walkers to have over 20 businesses to explore while sampling the wines. Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary Club is proud to report that over $310,000 in Wine Walk donations has been put back into local non-profit organizations in the past 14 years.
